Group 2 Taxi Driver Medicals for first badge application or renewal.
In order to drive taxis you require a Group 2 Taxi Driver Medical. This medical is obligatory whether you are applying for a first badge or renewing based on your age.
Please note that it is your responsibility to check that it is acceptable for a doctor other than your own GP to complete the form with the licensing authority.

Your medical will consist of the eyesight test, blood pressure checks, and a questionnaire regarding your medical history. The doctor will also review your medical records depending on council requirements.
Photo ID, your medical form, driving glasses or contact lenses and prescription, details of your medical history and any medication, recent blood pressure readings if treated for blood pressure, your latest HbA1c if diabetic, and medical records where required.
